A-008 utilizes the unique attributes of organic ozone scavengers to inhibit ozone-induced cracking in rubber, working in tandem with inorganic powders to efficiently occupy the interstitial spaces between rubber molecules, thus effectively suppressing unwanted rubber blooming.
A-008 serves as a versatile antioxidant, providing protection against thermal aging, flexural fatigue, and ozone attack while displaying outstanding miscibility with various rubber compositions.
The excellent compatibility of A-008 minimizes migration potential and markedly improves the plasticity of rubber compounds.
A-008 acts to suppress the detrimental effects of harmful metals and can be used singly in applications requiring resistance to heat aging. For optimal anti-aging performance, it can be combined with small amounts of other antioxidants, such as MB.
A-008 has low coloration and light staining, making it suitable for use on dark and black rubber goods.
Dosage:
The recommended addition rate is 1.5 to 2.0 parts by weight per hundred parts of rubber (phr), and is best added during the last phase of the mixing process. Excessive use should be avoided.
